OUR STORY
In 1999, two young, energetic, and ambitious women met and started their first year of four at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). A mutual friend thought these two like-minded Polish women should meet, and a wonderful friendship began.Through four years of studying the art and science of naturopathic medicine, the two women became experts in nutrition and herbal medicine, examining the mechanism of action and interactions of many nutritional supplements and herbs and learning how to be primary care practitioners. As the four years went by, their personal interests became entwined with their professional subjects– nutrition, anti-aging, and skincare. In a quest for further knowledge, the two friends attended many conferences and seminars together, and learned how all three were linked and affect each other.
After starting up two separate health clinics in 2004, they gained the vast clinical experience needed to truly understand and appreciate the many factors involved in good health, anti-aging and skincare. They often reunited to share their experiences and knowledge. Seven years into their practices the two realized that there was a missing factor in their skincare recommendations to their patients. They felt that there was no acceptable skin care product that would meet the wide variety of skin types, and sensitivities that was essential for their patients. They began their quest for an organic, functional, nutritional skincare product.
In the past, both women had recommended the pure seed oil of green tea, Camellia sinensis, because of unique and impressive actions on the skin. They knew that it would form the foundation for their new product. They began to research the benefits of other oils, and were both impressed by the exceptional qualities of the seed oil of Perilla frutescens. The last key ingredient would be vitamin E. The three ingredients worked together well to improve skin texture and tone. Both women were impressed with the results while testing the product on themselves, family and friends for months to wonderful reviews. Priding themselves with quality patient care, they knew that their new product would meet their high standards and the various skincare needs of their patients.
